WORK HISTORY

PRODUCT DESIGNER - APPAREL

My role as Product Designer is to focus on the design and development of women’s technical apparel, accessories, and soft goods for top outdoor brands. Core responsibilities include creating product tech packs, working in collaboration with developers to review prototypes and fabrics, color design, and trend research.

ASSISTANT COLOR DESIGNER - MOUNTAIN SPORTS
The North Face  -  Alameda, CA  -  Feb 2018 - April 2018

My focus was to build and maintain seasonal color files in collaboration with Design and Color teams, as well as creating documents to support the color process (grids, visual color boards, etc.). I designed and maintained category visual tools for key meetings and communicated progress and plans with Product Line Managers, Product Designers, and the Color team.

APPAREL DESIGNER

Owner and designer of independent women’s apparel company. Responsibilities focused on all aspects of product development; from designs, patternmaking, and prototypes, to flats, tech packs, and production sewing. Also responsible for project management, marketing, and costing.

Focused on maintaining efficiency of the office on a daily basis. From operations to accounting, responsibilities required flexibility, organization, and collaboration. Was often tasked with additional responsibilities including project management, production, and strategy for specific projects. Clients include Nike and TEDxPortland.

Assisted the apparel design team with various tasks including garment specs, fit notes, and updating tech packs. Also managed the organization of samples for trade shows and photo shoots, concept research for Spring 2015 women’s collection.

Assisted full-time staff with costume construction for the 2012-13 season. Position required industrial sewing and hand sewing, material preparation, patternmaking, fit and construction alterations.

Freelance front-end developer with a focus on HTML5, CSS, and jQuery. Responsibilities included project management, client relations and communication, and overall product development from inception through production.
